Assistant Professor Akbarov Maharram Ganbar
He was born on August 15, 1956, in Mammadli village of Barda region.
In 1973 he entered the faculty of “Economics of Trade” of Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after D.Bunyadzade, in 1976 he was sent to the senior course of the Leningrad Soviet Institute of Commerce, in 1977 he graduated from the same institute majoring in “Economist”.
He served in the army from 1977-to 1979. He started his career in 1979 and worked as a leading economist and department head in the central office of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Azerbaijan from 1981 to 1997.
In 1983 he entered the graduate school of the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy, in 1988 he defended his thesis at Tbilisi State University. He started working at Azerbaijan State University of Economics in 2004.
From 2006-to 2012 he worked as a deputy dean of the “Commerce” faculty. From 2013-to 2015, he worked as the head of the “Trade” department. Since 2016, he has been working as an associate professor at the department of Trade and Customs Organization.
In 2011, he was awarded the title of associate professor by EAC. He is the author of 10 subject programs, 2 textbooks, and more than 20 scientific articles.
